Everything that belongs to us comes to us only if we create the capacity to receive it. We cannot avoid the results of our actions as it is the land on which we stand.
Why me? When something bad happens, we often think the situation is unfair. Yet, if we were to really look at life, realizing the amazing calling, we have been given to know the truth of god, we would humbly be asking the same question; why me?
Its amazing but god called us and saved us with a holy calling. Not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. We have done nothing to deserve it, yet he still chose us.Wouldn't it be much worse if life was fair and all the terrible things that happen to us, come because we actually deserve them.
I believe Life's an interminable series of trials, an art of drawing ample conclusions from insufficient premises; God never threw a dice, Life's not in containing good cards but in playing those you hold well. Twenty years from now you'll be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore, Dream, Discover. Ready or not, someday it will all come to an end. There will be no more sunrises, no minutes, hours or days. It won't matter where you came from or what side of tracks you lived on at the end. It won't matter whether you were beautiful or brilliant. What will matter is not your success but your significance, not what you learned but what you taught, every act if integrity, compassion and courage, not your competence but your character, not how many people you knew but how many feel a lasting loss when you are gone. Living a life that matters doesn't happen by accident. It is not a matter of circumstance but choice.
